Bristol
In 2007, we started to network across the Christian community to help bring positive change to the Bristol region. After twelve years as Enabler of Mission and Unity with Together4Bristol (T4B), at the end of 2021, Roger gave up his salary and was released to help expand the grassroots movement of everyday Christians to be good news across the whole of life, as part of T4B.

T4B's vision is “Transforming Bristol Together”: we long to see... the WHOLE Christian community working together in unity to be good news in the WHOLE of life in the Bristol region”. The spheres of life are the Arts, Business and Workplace, Education, Family, Health, Media, Politics and Social Action (Christian Action Bristol, CAB) and Sport. Roger enables the work of all the spheres' facilitators and Angie is particularly involved in the Arts and Family spheres.
T4B Whole of Life is a “network of networks”, with a facilitating group, and core groups for all eight spheres of life. We link with church and prayer leaders and help to connect networks, organisations, projects and individuals. We also engage with the council, (especially through CAB) and organize wider gatherings, including conferences, to release Christians and people of goodwill to help transform the whole of life in the Bristol region.

Roger is also responsible for T4B's website, and Facebook group which has a 100 Friends Appeal to cover the costs of updating in a financially sustainable way.

See the Timeline for examples of how we are helping transform the region for good.

Roger is a Trustee of T4B, for the spheres of life. He is also part of the wider team for Gather Movement, which connects the “unity for transformation movements” in over 150 towns and cities in the UK.

Roger helps other places to engage with the spheres, through being interviewed or writing (for a booklet by Churches Together in England, including the Strengths and Weakness of the Spheres in Bristol). He teaches a couple of courses, such as Reframe, to help Christians find their purpose in every aspect of society. He is also researching in book, over several years, about pioneering in Bristol in the last 40 years, including in the spheres.
